Some diaper bags are far too small, and can’t hold an adequate number or diapers. If you are going on a trip, for example, you want to make sure you have enough room for a few days worth of diapers. By the time the baby arrives, many expectant mothers are sick of fluffy bunnies and cute cartoon characters. There is a time and place for cute, but when you want to feel a little less momish a stylish baby diaper bag might be in order.
Before running out and choosing an expensive designer bag to tote around baby items, think about a few practicalities. A good diaper bag has to be large, durable and washable. Looks are important but this bag has to last through this baby, and maybe a few more.
Can a diaper bag be too big? I would love to say no, but most new moms like to be prepared for anything. The only caveat is that you must be able to carry it. It has to be large enough to hold diapers, blankets, a change of clothes, bottles and a range of toys.
